Bear Lodge 6207 by Mountain Vacation Lodging features numerous high quality amenities in an ideal location. Amenities include several pools / hot tubs, large green spaces, tennis courts, workout facility, clubhouse and much more.  The condo is a quick walk to and from Steamboat's gondolas and ski village restaurants and shops and also has a free private shuttle in the winter.  It has 2 large master suites ideal for couples, plus a great bunk room for kids or singles to accommodate groups of all kinds.  Look out any window to take in views of the ski mountain all the way up to the top of the Steamboat Gondola, as well as the pool and hot tub areas.  Please read on for more details.  

The Property:
The condo has a large open layout that combines the living room, dining room, and kitchen.  Your group can easily gather together here to enjoy each other's company.  The large living room includes two full size sofas and two armchairs, seating 8 comfortably.  Relax here and enjoy the warm gas fireplace or the large HDTV with built in surround sound.  Step outside from here onto the large covered deck, which includes a gas grill and outdoor dining.  The dining room table expands to seat 8 with elbow room to spare, plus there are 4 seats at the kitchen bar.  You'll find granite counters, slate tile, and stainless steel appliances in this fully equipped kitchen.  The range is gas and the fridge has filtered water plus an ice maker.  

There are 3 bedrooms, including two large bedroom suites on opposite ends of the condo.  Each of these suites includes a King size bed with high quality linens, an HDTV on the dresser, and a private bathroom.  The surround sound system extends to these rooms for those who like consistent audio throughout their space.  The bathrooms for these two suites are identical, featuring an extra-large Jacuzzi tub, oversized walk in shower, and dual sinks, with travertine tile and solid stone counters.  When 2 couples rent this condo, there's no need to draw straws!  The third bedroom has two bunk beds that are Twin over Twin.  That's 4 Twin beds, making it perfect for kids or single adults.   This room also has an HDTV and the third full bathroom is right across the hall. 

The property has access to four pools, with one right outside the condo unit. One of the pools is an indoor / outdoor pool, which means that on those cold winter days, you can enter the pool inside, away from the wind.  Kids love swimming in and out of this area too.  The pool / outdoor common area has comfy furniture, dining tables, towels, grills, fire pits, restrooms and separate clubhouse, all available for guest use. 

If you want to play some tennis, this is a spectacular setting for it.  You might miss a few shots because you're gazing at the surrounding mountains! 
  
Location:
This property has an exceptional location in the heart of the Mountain Village.  Trappeur's Crossing is a short, easy, and flat walk from the heart of the ski area base, Steamboat Square.  Bear Lodge is the closest of the Trappeur's buildings to Steamboat Square and all of the ski resort's base area lifts.  Just walk about 100 yards and you'll have come to the intersection of Apres Ski Way and Village Drive.  Here you'll find a small grocery, deli, restaurant, liquor and wine store called The Wild Plum. Cross the street and walk another 100 yards and you'll be at the edge of the slopes in Steamboat Square.  That's right, you only walk about 200 yards from this condo to the slopes and the center of our resort's base area!  Besides the slopes, the ski school is the first thing you come to.  It is very easy to drop off your kids and head back to the condo or up onto the slopes, as well as to pick them up when you're heading home.  In fact, with a very straightforward walk, only crossing one intersection with a 4 way stop and crosswalks, many kids can head home without assistance.  The Gondolas, the Christie Peak Express lift, and the ticket office are right here too.  So are many restaurants and bars, free concerts, special events, and activities galore.  Remember this, though, If you don't feel like walking, all you have to do is use the free private shuttle that runs all ski season.  They'll take you to and from anywhere in town!   In summer, the base area is even more kid friendly than it is during ski season.  When all the snow melts, Burgess Creek flows through the area, but the water level is controlled to be at a flow level that is ideal for kids to splash around.  There are even a couple of "beaches" along the creek.  There are also tons of activities, many restaurants and bars, as well as a large stage.  This area plays host to movie nights, free concerts, art shows, hot air balloon glows, and more.  

Don't forget, the ski area sits on national forest.  So your condo is literally right next to a national forest trailhead.  You can hike or bike from your door!  You can also ride up the Gondola for food, beverages, amazing views, sunsets, or to hike and bike around to the highest parts of the ski area with a 2000 vertical foot head start!  This area is also connected to other trails too.  The Mountain Sneak trail, Mt. Werner trail, and Burgess Creek trail all converge within 100 yards of The Bear Lodge.  These paved trails are perfect for walking, strolling, and they connect with the Yampa River Core Trail, which leads to downtown Steamboat, the Emerald Mountain trail system, and beyond.  Everything is right out your door. 

Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you.  We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions, and answers to any specific questions you might have.   As long as the elevator is in service, accessing this property does not require any stairs.  If not, or if you prefer stairs, it’s just two flights up or down between the condo and the ground floor lobby and the heated underground parking.  There is additional covered and uncovered parking available across the street, by the clubhouse.  With the exception of a few reserved spaces underground, all parking is available on a first come first served basis.  We recommend limiting your group to 2 vehicles.  Trailers are not allowed, so please make plans for offsite parking if you will have one.  Contact us for information on offsite parking options.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning.  During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed.  Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties.   Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups.  Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size.  Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking.  The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home.  Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property.  If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property.  For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary.  Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. ** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended.  For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on.  If you are booking for a lengthy stay, please contact us before booking online to discuss your group, your dates, the rates, the cleaning schedule, etc.
