EDGEWERKS: The best tuning shop in town also offers finely tuned, high quality ski rental equipment as well.  Daily and weekly rentals available for skis, snowboards, boots, poles and helmets. STEAMBOAT SKI BIKES: You may think you know what a ski bike is, but think again! You’ve probably seen the old Type 1 Ski Bikes and thought “those are strange, I have no interest in that.” However, you’ve probably never seen one of the new designs! With 5 to 7 inches of suspension travel & the ability to perform BMX & Motocross style tricks, Type 2 ski bikes have taken the sport from tame and lame to really fun, easy to learn, and as extreme as you want it to be! The mountain bike style full suspension system makes the ride smooth & easy on the body – every day is a powder day! The lessons for learning to ride them are less expensive than those for learning to ski or snowboard, and for most people, it’s an easy learning curve, so you’ll be able to enjoy more of the mountain more quickly, not stuck on the beginner runs all day! STEAMBOAT SKI & BIKE KARE: You can rent great quality skis, snowboards, and mountain bikes from Steamboat Ski & Bike Kare, and as the name suggests, they can “kare” for (do maintenance on) the items you own.  This is a locally owned company with 2 locations.  One shop right at the base of the ski area in Steamboat Square, One Steamboat Place, and the other is in the heart of downtown Steamboat, at 5th and Lincoln. LIFT TICKETS: 

STEAMBOAT SKI RESORT:  For lift tickets, the ski area normally offers a reduced “Advance Purchase Price” that is offered on the ski area website if you book at least 7 days in advance.  We are a lodging partner of the ski resort, and as such, can help our lodging guests obtain an additional discount off of the advance purchase price.  The farther in advance you book lift tickets, the larger the discount, up to 45% off. Get started with your order as early as possible to ensure you don’t miss a deadline, especially if you are reading this before the ski season begins! If you’re reading this during the ski season, you can still save 15-25% off of the Advance Purchase Price. You must order your tickets at least one week in advance of your first day of skiing in order to qualify for the advance purchase price, and the discount applies to tickets that are for 3 or more days of skiing (per person).  Also, note that the ski area offers a “kids ski free” program, where for each parent or grandparent purchasing a 5 or more day ticket, kids aged 5-12 years old will qualify for a matching ticket, free.  (Kids 4 and under are virtually free with no adult ticket to qualify).  Look for the email with a subject line that includes “Steamboat Discounts and Lift Ticket Order Instructions” for further information.
