Steamboat Rentals by Owner, LLC is operated by the team of Grey Schuhmacher and Rob Schuhmacher. Rob has decades of experience in the financial services industry and is applying his hands on management skills and several years in the Steamboat area to serving the needs of property owners and guests to the area. Grey has a dual degree in Hotel Management and Business Administration, as well as 7 years in hotel and property management. Grey's hands on experience in the Steamboat market is a real asset to the team.

The founder, Larry Hoffer, started his career in the hotel business in Vail in 1981 - and then spent most of his career in senior level marketing positions in the telecommunications industry before launching Rentals By Owner in 2002 with the Vail market. Over the past few years our team has expanded to Beaver Creek, Aspen, Snowmass, Breckenridge, Steamboat, Telluride, Park City, Deer Valley, and Lake Tahoe - representing several hundred homes.

We recognized the vacation home owners’ needs and guests needs weren't being met through traditional property management companies and have come up with a great solution for all.
